6.2 Secure campus SDS

Campus security is one of the fields attracting the most attention from the society at present.
Local governments have gradually included the security monitoring of the campus gate into
the range of urban security monitoring. By integrating the public security alarm system and
video monitoring system, security inspection and responsiveness to emergencies on campus
will be greatly enhanced.
Security and Defence System (SDS) on campus includes the front-end data collection system,
transmission network system, and control center.



The Gazelle S1010i transmits data of audio, video, alarms, and locations collected by the
front-end device to the control center. Meanwhile, the Gazelle S1503i displays the
information one the monitoring terminal of the control center. The star networking scheme is
simple in structure and easy for front-end device access. The whole scheme is complete
digital for convenience of data collection, transmission, saving, and processing. The linear
and wireless transmission modes cooperate together to avoid bind zone in monitoring.
The front-end data collection system collects and standardizes data, such as, video, audio,
and alarms.
The transmission network system transmits control information, alarms, and video
information through the network according to the workflow. It transmits images and
alarms received from the front-end device to the control center through the network.
The control center manages all users, data, and control signals. It is responsible for
displaying, saving, and processing data, issuing user control order, and user
authentication and authorization.
