5.1.3 Electrostatic conditions

To prevent human electrostatic from damaging the Gazelle S1503i, you must wear the
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) wrist strap before contacting the Gazelle S1503i. The ESD
wrist strap should contact your skin properly and make sure that the other side of the ESD
wrist strap is connected to the ground reliably.

5.1.4 Grounding conditions

The Gazelle S1503i must be grounded and the grounding resistance should be no more than 1
Ω. Grounding properly is a necessity for lightning protection and anti-interference.

5.1.5 Other conditions

Before installation, you should make sure that the corollary device is ready. For example,
cables and supporting facilities are correctly installed.

5.1.6 Precautions before opening packet

The Gazelle S1503i is packed in a special box; you should note the following items:

5.2.1 Installing device on guide rail

When the Gazelle S1503i is brought out of the packing box, it is installed with the
clamping rail connector on the rear panel. Take the DC model for example to
illustrate the installation process.
Follow following steps to install the Gazelle S1503i on the guide rail:
Step 1 Attach the clamping rail connector to the guide rail, as shown in Figure 5-1.

We recommend you to prepare the backup power to make sure that the
Gazelle S1503i can work properly when the power is abnormal.
The power should be more than 5 W.
Place the packing box in the upright position.
Check the device and accessories according to the packing list.
