Driving Technique for ComfortTrack

A steered trailer using ComfortTrack behaves differently than a standard
trailer.
The track width changes as the wheels are angled out. The bigger the
angle, the smaller the track width.
Therefore, a steered trailer has a slight decreased stability when turning,
especially when turning on hillsides (B).
To prevent overbalancing, pay attention to these guidelines:
• Avoid sudden tight turns.
• Slow down before entering a curve or turning. Drive with a
constant, low speed during the turn.
• When articulated, never slow down too fast, brake heavily and
suddenly stop in a curve, or when turning on a hillside.
• Be careful when turning on uneven ground.
• Set the track width (A) as wide as possible.
• The proper function of the hydraulic system is essential to obtain good stability.
DANGER! No persons allowed in the operating area of the sprayer, when steering is unlocked!
Speed Limit
The ComfortTrack is by default limited to a driving speed of 18 km/h.
Driving too fast in "Auto" with ComfortTrack will trigger an overspeed alarm, and the steering will automatically be locked.
