– Place the short section of the front wheel arch cover on the
bumper, align the component and use a fineliner pen to mark
the gap for the space where the front blade cut-out will sit.
Note
◆ The dark-coloured area on the bumper represents the sub-
sequent installation location of the front blade.
◆ Mark the component position on the vehicle before finishing
the assembly process.
4.2

Attaching the front spoiler

– Prepare the power drill and drill bit.
– Set the drill depth limiter.
Dimension -a- = 25 mm
Caution
Be careful to observe the drilling depth in order to prevent
damaging the lines behind the bumper!
The illustration provides an overview of the bonding areas for
liquid adhesive on the front spoiler.
Liquid adhesive bead ∅ 4 mm
– Clean the bonding surfaces on the vehicle and on the add-
on component using isopropanol.
– Roughen and clean non-roughened bonding surfaces on the
component to be installed.
● The bonding surfaces on the body and the add-on compo-
nent must be completely dry, clean and free from wax and oil
or grease.
– Apply a ∅ 4-mm bead of liquid adhesive as a continuous
bead -1- and as 15 offset beads -2- along the fins.
– Place and align the front spoiler -1- on the bumper -3-.
– Press the front spoiler -1- onto the bumper -3- (contrary to
the direction of travel); fix in position using tape if necessary.
– Use the four holes -arrows- on the front spoiler -1- as a tem-
plate to drill the ∅ 5.5-mm drill holes in the rear section of
the slot holes -4- in the bumper.
Caution
Do not apply excessive pressure to the component!
