NOTICE
Incorrect setting
Damage to the orthosis due to overloading of the material and improper fit of the orthosis due to
breakage of load-bearing components
The orthosis may only be adjusted by qualified personnel.
Do not make any improper changes to the settings.

Use of a worn or damaged product
Limited effectiveness
Before each use, check the product for functional reliability and for possible wear or dam­
age.
Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is worn or damaged.
5 Handling
INFORMATION
The daily duration of use and period of application are generally determined by the physi­
cian.
The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional changes are noted (e.g.
worsening of the complaint).
5.1 Size Selection
1) Measure the circumference of the knee joint (circumference A).
2) Measure the circumference of the thigh (circumference B) 15 cm above the centre of the
patella.
3) Determine the size of the orthosis (see page 3, Fig. 7).
5.2 Adaptation
Adjusting the range of motion
INFORMATION
The joint stops (medial and lateral) must have the same degree settings.
Available extension stops (square grip):
Available flexion stops (round grip):
1) Remove the pad retainer (and the spacer rings if applicable) (see fig. 4).
2) Remove the pinch protection stop (see fig. 1, item 8).
3) Insert the desired extension and flexion stops into the joint as specified by the doctor (see
fig. 5).
→ The stops engage with slight resistance.
4) Optional: Snap the required number of spacer rings onto the joint (see fig. 6).
5) Attach the pad retainer.
Adapting the orthosis
Prerequisite: The patient is sitting on the front edge of a chair and bends the knee at 70°. All

straps are opened.
1) Set the maximum width of the top lower leg closure on dial 5 (see fig. 2, item 2).
2) Place the orthosis on the leg.
