Knotted Pull on the Rope Stay to keep it within reach. Remove excess slack in
the Guy Rope using the Knotted Pull.
A. Pull on the knotted end of the rope until you have removed the slack from
the line.
B. Tie off the rope and re-adjust the tension
When the Rope Stay is properly positioned, lock it in place by looping the Guy
Rope over the two hooks located just below the handle. You can adjust Guy
Rope tension without unlocking it by simply holding the Rope Stay by the handle
in one hand and sliding towards or away from the mast, at the same time use the
other hand to hold the Guy Rope above the Rope Stay releasing the tension on
the line.
Locate the 2nd Rope Stay opposite the one that was just deployed and repeat
the above process until all Guy Ropes have been deployed.
Incremental Guying - if Incremental Guying is required, repeat the process as
you deploy the Center Mast Poles according to the directions until you achieve
the desired height. When raising the mast, if the Guy Ropes are too tight, they
will cause the mast to bend during deployment of the Center Mast Sections
Insert the Base Pole
A. When the desired height has been reached, insert the Base Pole as the
last Center Mast Pole.
B. Make sure the castle cuts nest completely together so that no seams are
visible.
C. Holding the Base Pole below the Tri-Collar with one hand, loosen the
Compression Collar 1/4 turn counterclockwise with the other hand.
D. Permit the mast to slowly, gently slide down until the Base Plate at the
bottom of the pole firmly Contacts the ground.
E. Secure the Mast by locking the compression collar below the Tri-Collar in
place.
Secure the Mast
A. Adjust the Guy Ropes - If the Guy Ropes are too loose, it will allow the
mast to lean. If the Guy Ropes are too tight, they put unnecessary strain
and load on the mast. Adjust the ropes. Tension should be firm; not slack
nor taut.
B. Rotate the mast, if necessary, to align any devices.
C. Check to make sure that the mast is level. Pay attention to the bubble
levels on the Tri-Collar. It may be necessary to move the base of the mast
