Guying
A. Make sure that the Tripod and Rope Stays have been properly secured.
1. Each Base Plate of the Tripod has been properly secured.
2. The mast has been guyed using a four Guy configuration for
maximum safety.
3. Each Guy Rope should be fastened to the Guy Ring and to the
Ground Stake.
4. Each Ground Stake should be fully nested in the ground to provide
maximum support.
B. Adjust the Guy Ropes so that they properly support the mast.
When adjusting the Guy Ropes, always start with the Guy Rope opposite
the direction that the mast may be leaning, or the one that offers the most
support based on the configuration of the mast.
1. Locate the 1st Rope Stay next to the Ground Stake.
2. Adjust the Guy Rope by sliding the Rope Stay towards the mast to
tighten and away from the mast to loosen. The Guy Rope should
be tangle-free and taut.
Incremental Guying - If Incremental guying is required, adjust the Rope Stay
leaving enough slack in the line to allow the insertion of a single Center Mast
Pole. Sometimes the Rope Stay will need to be tightened so far towards the
mast that it may quickly become out of reach, overhead. When this occurs, it will
be necessary to remove some of the slack from the Guy Rope utilizing the
BlueSky Mast Setup (12)
