Procedure to Recover From lost
The radio features a method to gain access to the CLI command prompt for
a unit where the IP address, username, and/or password is unknown. This
method requires local access to the radio's PoE power adapter, the ability to
power-cycle the radio, a PC with a telnet client, and an Ethernet cable.
Use the following steps to gain access to the CLI command prompt:
1. Power-off the radio PoE adapter. Remove the local network Ethernet
cable and connect your computer directly to the PoE adapter DATA
(INPUT) Ethernet port.
2. Open a command prompt window on the PC and enter the command: ping
192.168.26.2 –t <Press Enter> You will not get a response from radio yet.
3. Restore power to the radio PoE adapter and wait for 10 seconds.
4. Power-off the radio PoE adapter for 7 seconds.
5. Restore power to the radio PoE adapter and wait for approximately 20
seconds. You should see the command prompt ping command now able
to ping the radio with its default IP address 192.168.26.2
6. Open a browser (Internet Explorer 6 or higher recommended) and enter
the default IP address (192.168.26.2). The dialog should be displayed
asking for username and password. Log in using default username
"admin" and default password "admin." Next, you must click Configure
System on the left menu bar and immediately change the IP address to
192.168.26.3, then hit save quickly. This must be done in an average of
