Optional: Shaping the orthosis frame
► Optional: The orthosis is thermoformable. Heat the orthosis frame to a maximum of 80 °C and
shape it by hand.
NOTICE! Do not shape the product while cold.
Adjusting the functional strap
1) Align the elastic functional strap under the foot plate. Position the strap laterally to achieve a
pronation effect or medially for a supination effect (see fig. 5, see fig. 7).
2) Determine the position where the elastic functional strap has the ideal tension, tighten the
strap and fasten it (see fig. 6, see fig. 8).
3) Check the fit of the foot in the orthosis.
4.3 Application
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to improper or excess­
ively tight application
Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.
NOTICE
Mechanical overload
Impaired functionality due to mechanical damage
Check the product for damage prior to each use.
Do not use the product if its functionality has been impaired.
Take any necessary measures (e.g. repair, replacement, inspection by the manufacturer's
customer service, etc.).
1) Position the foot on the foot plate in the orthosis, noting the position of the heel and forefoot.
2) Pull the lower leg strap through the loop and fasten it.
3) Stretch the elastic functional strap and fasten it.
5 Cleaning
NOTICE
Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents
Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
Clean the orthosis regularly:
Textile component
► NOTICE! Detergent residues may cause skin irritation and wear of material.
1) Remove the lower leg strap from the orthosis.
2) Carefully remove the textile padding from the orthosis frame at the inner hook-and-loop points.
3) Wash the padding by hand in warm water at approx. 30 °C with standard mild detergent.
Rinse thoroughly.
4) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat (e. g. from the sun, an oven or radiator).
5) Attach the textile padding and the lower leg strap to the orthosis, noting the alignment of the
lower leg strap.
Orthosis frame
1) Wipe with a damp cloth as needed.
2) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat sources (e.g. sunlight, stove or radiator).
