NOTICE
Risk of damage due to incorrect environmental conditions. Prosthetic
components must not be subjected to intense smoke, dust, vibrations,
shocks or high temperatures. Do not allow debris or liquids to get into
the prosthesis and its components. Failure to follow these instructions
can lead to malfunctioning and damage to the prosthesis.
NOTICE
Damage caused by improper cleaning agents. Do not use any
aggressive cleaning agents since they could cause damage to bearings,
seals and plastic parts. The product is to be cleaned with a damp cloth
and mild soap only.
2.4 Function
The Ottobock Elbow Set-Ups are available in the following versions:
• 12K19=40
• 12K5=*
• 12K20=*
For available sizes, please refer to section 3.
The elbow set-ups have a passive elbow lock. The different locking positions
can be set with a lock button (Fig. 1, item A). The 12K19=40 set-up has
10 possible locking positions in 8° increments and 12K5=* and 12K20=*
set-ups have 13 possible locking positions in 8° increments.
The lock button (Fig. 1, item A) is used to manually release and lock the
elbow lock.

The friction (restraint) setting of the internal/external rotational movement
(sickle movement) in the elbow set-up can be changed by tightening the
adjustment screws (Fig. 2, item A).
