8. Switch the valve so that the fuel line can be used for
operation.
Cleaning the fuel supply pump filter
1. Located near the fuel pre-filter, place a receptacle of
suitable capacity under the supply pump.
2. Open the pump body and extract the filter (2) and the
seals (1) and (3).
WARNING
Flying debris!
Compressed air can propel dirt, rust, etc. into
the air. Wear eye and face protection when
using compressed air.
Failure to comply could result in death or se-
rious injury.
3. Clean the filter with compressed air. Check the filter
and replace it if necessary. Replace the seals with new
seals.
4. Carefully clean the body (4) and the cover (5). No dirt
must remain in the supply pump.
5. Re-assemble, taking care to install the seals in the
correct order then re-install the pump.
6. Open the valve on the supply line.
7. Bleed the system. See "Fuel system air bleed".
