Tandem master cylinder brake system
Your Perodua is equipped with a tandem
master cylinder brake system. Each brake
system functions independently.
If either of the brake system should fail, the
other system still works. However, the
brake system requires increased force and
the stopping distance will be increased.
Furthermore, the brake warning light should
glow.
WARNING
Do not continue driving with the mal
functioning brake system.
Have the system checked immediately
Brake booster
The brake booster utilizes engine manifold
vacuum to assist braking force.
WARNING
If the engine is stopped while driving,
braking will require more force than
usual and stopping distance will in
crease.

could cause a loss of control of the

• Make sure that the floor mat does
not interfere with the free move
ment of the pedal.
• Braking effectiveness will be re
duced with moisture. Lightly de
press the brake pedal several times
to remove moisture.
• Do not rest your foot on the brake
pedal while driving.
This could cause brake overheat
