Instructions on do-it-yourself

WARNING
If you are not versed in servicing
procedures given, do not attemptto
check or adjust the components.
Do not allow smoking, sparks or
flames near flammable objects,
such as fuel or battery, to prevent a
fire.
• To help reduce the risk of serious
bodily injury, remove any necklace,
bracelet, ring, and so forth. Secure
long hair behind your head. Also,
keep hands, tools, clothes, and
other objects away from the moving
parts when the engine is running.
• To help reduce the risk or burn in­
jury, allow the engine to cool before
servicing any component in the en­
gine compartment, except when not
required.
• No person should be under a vehi­
cle that is supported only by a jack;
use vehicle support stands,
etc.
• Service your vehicle in a well-venti­
lated place.

Keep children away from any fluid
or oil.
• Check that any tool or cloth is not
left when closing the hood. They
may damage the components or
even a fire while driving.
CAUTION
• Disconnect the cable from the nega­
tive terminal of the battery before
working on the electrical systems.
Also, be careful not to short the termi­
nals with a tool or other metal objects.
It could cause a battery damage.
• Use well-maintained tools to prevent
damage to the components.
Electric engine cooling fan
WARNING
• Turn the ignition switch off when
you work near the radiator and con­
denser fans, or radiator grill.
• Do not touch or come close to the
fan blades if you service your vehi­
cle with the ignition switch in "ON".
The radiator fan switch is activated
automatically when the coolant tem­
perature reaches the certain level.
Futhermore, the condenser cooling
fan will automatically start to rotate
with the air conditioner on.
