Spark plug check and
replacement
1. Hold the boot at the end of the spark
plug wire and disconnect the spark plug
wire.
Do not pull the wire itself ..
WARNING
Be careful not to burn yourself as the
boot and spark plug may be hot.
2. Unscrew and remove the spark plug
with a spark plug wrench.
3. Check the insulator tip of the spark plug
to see if it is light brown without any
fouling. If it is not, have the spark plug
cleaned by a Perodua dealer.
CAUTION
Do not allow dirt or anything to fall into
the spark plug holes. It may cause en­
gine damage.

4. Check the gap of the new spark plugs
with a spark plug gap gauge.
Bend the ground electrode to adjust
spark plug gap as specified, if neces­
sary.
For recommended spark plugs, see
Section 14.
5. Install the spark plug securely.
CAUTION
Do not overtighten the plug. It may
cause engine damage.
6. Reconnect the spark plug wire in cor­
rect order.
