Parking tips
WARNING
When parking or stopping your vehi
cle, make sure that there is no combus
tible objects such as dry grass and oil
around and underneath your vehicle.
The exhaust pipe may reach an ex
tremely high temperature, and it is pos
sible that nearby combustible objects
may be ignited.

l;'arking brake
Pull the lever up to set the parking brake.
To release the parking brake, first raise the
lever slightly and push the button with your
thumb. Then, lower the lever completely.
WARNING
When you park the vehicle, always
engage the parking brake fully and
place the manual transmission lever in
1st on the uphill grade or reverse on
the downhill grade.
CAUTION
Make sure that the parking brake has
been completely released and that the
parking brake warning light or the brake
warning light is off. A partially applied
parking brake could cause brake
overheating, and promote pad and lining
wear.
