Always use a skid steer with an enclosed cab and an operator protective door that is free of
damage. Traveling in reverse can cause material to be thrown towards the cab. The mount
will prevent most material from reaching the door, but irregular material can be
unpredictable and safety precautions need to be taken.
Operate the Skid Steer and/or Implement controls only while properly seated in the Skid
Steer seat with the seat belt securely fastened around you. Inadvertent movement of the
Skid Steer or Implement may cause serious injury or death.
Do not windrow with two machines in the same area.
Use extreme care when transporting the windrower on public highways and roads.
windrower and the power unit is longer in length. The implement is also wider than the Skid Steer. Allow ample
clearance when transporting the skid steer and implement to insure that they do not contact any bystanders,
signs, road structures, or other vehicles.
Never raise the implement entirely while the teeth
are turning. If the implement must be raised higher
than 12" from ground level, disengage the power
unit hydraulic flow and wait for all implement
rotation to come to a complete stop before
proceeding to raise the implement. If implement is
raised too high while the unit is running there is a
greater potential for tipping, machine damage,
injury or even death.
Do not let the drum teeth turn when the implement is raised for
any reason, including clearance or for turning. Raising the
implement exposes the drum teeth which creates a potentially
serious hazard and could cause serious injury or even death
from objects thrown from the drum teeth.
Stay alert and watch for trees, powerlines, posts,
signs, and all other
obstructions while you are windrowing. Use
extreme care to avoid hitting these types of
obstructions.
