5 Logging in to the Switch

You can log in to the switch through the Console port.
Connecting Console Cables
1) Connect one end of the DB-9 jack of the console cable to the serial port of the PC or the terminal.
2) Connect one end of the console cable DB-9 to the console port on the supervisor module.

Powering-on and Checking
Make sure that the power cord is connected to the power supply, and the power supply is operational. The following table lists the
operational conditions indicated by the module LEDs.
