Using Windows 95
Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11 and Windows 95B OEM Service Release 2
come factory-installed on the OmniBook 800. If necessary, the following procedure
installs retail Windows 95 and configures appropriate device drivers.
Requirements
OmniBook 800.
Windows 95 Installation CD.
The OmniBook 800 Support Utility Disk.
OmniBook 800 External CD-ROM.
Blank floppy disk (Windows 95 creates a Setup Book Disk during installation).
HP OmniBook 800 Windows 95 drivers.
Location: OmniBook hard drive or Recovery CD in
\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\WIN95.
Before You Start
The Windows 95 installation requires a newly formatted hard drive. Follow
these steps to format the hard drive and install Windows 95 from a CD-ROM
drive. If you are using the OmniBook's external CD-ROM, insert it into the
expansion bay and connect the floppy to the parallel port.
