Using OS/2 Warp 4.0
Installing OS/2 Warp 4.0
8. Enter the correct location of the OS/2 Warp CD-ROM drive and the OS/2
installation directory, then click Install.
9. After files are copied, click OK.
10. Open an OS/2 window.
11. Type: E: C:\CONFIG.SYS
12. Change the line:
BASEDEV=IBM2MAT1.SYS /SO=2 to
BASEDEV=SS2PCIC2.SYS /SO=2
13. Save and exit the file.
14. Copy the file SS2PCIC2.sys into the \OS2 directory.
15. Shut down and restart the OmniBook.

To install SCSI support

This procedure is not necessary if you installed OS/2 Warp from the OmniBook
external CD-ROM drive because the SCSI drivers are already installed.
Requirements
OmniBook 800 with OS/2 Warp 4.0 Installed.
HP OmniBook drivers for SCSI support.
Location: OmniBook hard disk drive or Recovery CD
in\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\OS2\SCSI.
You must install these drivers from floppy disk. Copy the contents of
\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\OS2\SCSI to a blank floppy disk.
1. Insert the disk with the SCSI drivers in the A drive.
2. Open OS/2 System, the System Setup.
3. Open Install/Remove and double-click on Device Driver Install.
4. Change the Drive to A:\ if necessary, then click OK.
5. Select the NCR SDMS ™ V3.0 OS/2 2.x ADD Driver, Copyright 1993, click OK.
6. Click Exit, then click Yes to confirm.
7. Shut down and restart OS/2 Warp 4.0.
