3 - Hopper Module Replacement Procedure
44) Test the new hopper module manually by pulling on the drive belt to move the hopper shuttle along
the full range from front to back. Do not pull directly on the hopper shuttle or you may damage
it. Make sure the shuttle does not touch any cables or other parts along its entire path, that the drive
motor at the rear of the device moves along with it, and that it does not make any unusual sounds,
such as clicking, rubbing, or grinding.
45) Perform any additional service that requires the device to be powered off and open.
46) Re-install the cover and top access door (see D99875607 ExpressCard 2000 Hardware Service
Manual for details).
47) Pull on the hopper transport drive belt to move the hopper transport to the front of the device, just
past hopper 7 and before it rotates to the manual feed slot. Do not pull directly on the hopper
transport or you may damage it.
48) Re-install the card stock hoppers.
49) Close the top access door.
50) Re-attach the power cable, network cable, and any security hardware.
51) Power up the device.
52) Perform any relevant adjustments from D99875607 ExpressCard 2000 Hardware Service
Manual, notably the section about calibrating the hopper transport module, which is included below
for reference.
53) From the touchscreen, navigate to
functions properly and the sample looks correct.
