Rear Wheel and Fender
1. Place the disassembling stand under the transmission case.
2. Loosen and remove the rear wheel mounting screws and nuts.
3. Remove the rear wheel (2).
4. Remove the rear wheel fender (1).
5. Follow the same procedure as above for the other side.
(When reassembling)
Tightening torque
(1) Rear Fender
Rear Axle Case
1. Place a jack under the transmission case.
2. Loosen and remove the rear axle case mounting screws and
nuts.
3. Support the rear axle case with nylon lift strap and hoist.
4. Separate the rear axle case from brake case.
(When reassembling)
• Apply liquid gasket (Three Bond 1208D or equivalent) to joint
face of the rear axle case and brake case, after eliminate the
water, oil and stuck liquid gasket.
Tightening torque
5-S7
197 to 226 N·m
Rear wheel mounting
20 to 23 kgf·m
screw and nut
145 to 166 ft-lbs
(2) Rear Wheel
48.1 to 55.9 N·m
M10 screw
4.9 to 5.7 kgf·m
35.4 to 41.2 ft-lbs
60.8 to 70.5 N·m
Rear axle
M10 nuts
6.2 to 7.2 kgf·m

44.9 to 52.1 ft-lbs
