What to do in an emergency

Towing service

If emergency towing is necessary,
we recommend having it done by an
authorised Kia dealer or a commer-
cial tow-truck service.
Proper lifting and towing proce-
dures are necessary to prevent
damage to the vehicle. The use of
wheel dollies (1) or flatbed is recom-
mended.

CAUTION
The AWD vehicle should never be
towed with the wheels on the
ground. This can cause serious
damage to the transmission or the
AWD system.
When flatbed is unavailable
2-wheel drive vehicle can be towed
with the opposite tyres on the
ground (without dollies) and parking
brake released.
2-wheel drive vehicle (front wheel

Shift to N (Neutral) to tow a vehicle
with the tyres on the ground. For
more details, refer to "Stay in N
(Neutral) position when engine is
Off" on page 6-19.
CAUTION
If any of the loaded wheels or
suspension components are dam-
aged or the vehicle is being towed
with the front wheels on the
ground, use a towing dolly under
the front wheels.
