Driving your vehicle
NOTICE
Never engage the parking brake
whilst performing these tests.
WARNING
Dynamometer testing
Keep away from the front of the
vehicle whilst the vehicle is in gear
on the dynamometer. This is very
dangerous as the vehicle can jump
forward and cause serious injury or
death.
CAUTION
When lifting up the vehicle, do not
operate front and rear wheel sep-
arately. All four wheels should be
operated.
If you need to operate the front
wheel and rear wheel when lifting
up the vehicle, you should release
the parking brake.
Brake system
Your vehicle has power-assisted
brakes, parking brake, and various
braking systems for safe driving.
Power brakes
Your vehicle has power-assisted
brakes that adjust automatically
through normal usage.
In the event that the power-
assisted brakes lose power because
of a stalled engine or some other
reason, you can still stop your vehi-
cle by applying greater force to the
brake pedal than you normally
would. The stopping distance, how-
ever, will be longer.
When the engine is not running, the
reserve brake power is partially
depleted each time the brake pedal
is applied. Do not pump the brake
pedal when the power assist has
been interrupted.
NOTICE
When stepping on the brake pedal
under a certain driving or weather
condition. you may witness your
car make a sound of squealing or
some other noises. This is not a
brake malfunction but a normal
phenomenon.
When driving on the road to
which deicing chemicals are
applied, the vehicle may witness
