Protection Setup
Good Frequency Indication (only for the IntelliTeam SG system or Loop
Restoration)
Loop Restoration: When the Good Frequency Indication mode is enabled, a Loop
Restoration Close command will be blocked if the frequency is below the configured
Under Frequency Threshold setpoint for the Under Frequency Minimum Time
to Detect setpoint. The Under Frequency Threshold setpoint is calculated as:
(Default :System Frequency – 0.5 Hz, 49.50 Hz when Setup>General Site-Related>System
Frequency = 50 Hz, or 59.50 Hz when Setup>General Site-Related>System Frequency
= 60 Hz; Minimum: System Frequency – 1 Hz; Maximum: System Frequency; Increment:
0.01 Hz) Configure the Under Frequency Minimum Time to Detect setpoint. (Range:
6-16,000; Step: 1; Default: 0.10 s)
IntelliTeam SG system: When the Good Frequency Indication mode is enabled,
and the Good Frequency Indication element identifies an under-frequency load-shed
event (the under frequency is at or below the Under Frequency Threshold setting for
the Under Frequency Minimum Time to Detect settings of the Good Frequency
Indication mode), it will set the IntelliTeam SG system to the Prohibit Restoration
mode, which also causes the IntelliRupter fault interrupter to go into an Out of Ready
state at that location). When an IntelliRupter fault interrupter is in the Out of Ready
state, manually enable restoration for each IntelliRupter fault interrupter and return the
IntelliTeam SG system to its Normal state.
Under Frequency Enabled
Specify the Yes or No (default) option.
Under Frequency Threshold
This is the frequency (in hertz) below which a Loop Restoration Close command will be
blocked or the IntelliTeam SG system will be set to the Prohibit Restoration state. Enter
between 47 and 60 Hz, but the setting will be valid only if it falls within the Range: System
Frequency – 1 to System Frequency; Minimum: System Frequency - 1 Hz; Maximum:
System Frequency; Default: System Frequency - 0.5 Hz; Increment: 0.01)
Under Frequency Minimum Time to Detect
This is the time (in seconds) the Under Frequency Threshold setting must be exceeded
for a Loop Restoration Close command to be blocked, or the IntelliTeam SG system
to be set to the Prohibit Restoration state. (Range: 0.00-10.00; Step: 0.01; Default: 0.01)
Reset Time
This is the time (in seconds) good frequency must be present for the Frequency element
to reset. (Range: 0.06-600.00, Step: 0.02, Default: 1.00)
