3. Fix the transceiver unit to the anti-vi-
bration devices with M1250 hex
bolts, spring washers, plain washers
and 2 nuts (supplied). Insert the
bolts from the bottom of the fixing
plate.
4. Using ropes (local supply), connect
the eye-bolts to the ceiling or bulk-
head.
Note: The transceiver sways with the ship's roll or pitch. When the ship moves
suddenly from wave impact or other causes, the transceiver unit may sway farther
than the stoppers. This can cause damage to the anti-vibration device.
To prevent damage to the anti-vibration device and the transceiver unit, secure
the transceiver unit with ropes in the manner shown below.
1) When a ceiling is available above the transceiver unit, prepare four anchor
points (use locally supplied fixtures) for the ropes. When a ceiling is not avail-
able above the transceiver unit, prepare a frame (use locally supplied materi-
als) which can be mounted to the bulkhead above the transceiver unit. The
frame should have four anchor points for the ropes.

2) Connect the eye-bolts at the top of the transducer unit to the anchor points with
rope.
