3. If the suspect gauge reads as indicated in the table, the problem lies outside the
instrumentation. Check the vacuum line for leaks, breaks, or clogs.
4. If the suspect gauge does not read as indicated in the table, or does not read at
all, connect the HDT to the private data bus and compare its reading to the sus-
pect gauge's reading.

If the HDT reads the same as the gauge, replace the Interface Module.
b. If the readings are different, replace the suspect gauge.
