Each time power is applied to a 2-inch gauge or to the SMC (usually by switching the
ignition on), the instrument performs an initialization. The initialization is described
in Figure 5-1.
Note - A gauge does not need other gauges or the Interface Module to perform its
initialization. It only needs +12 volts and ground.
