d. Check the sensor wiring to the Interface Module as shown in Step 2 of
Figure 5-4.

If the reading is less than 10 ohms, the wiring is probably good—replace
the Interface Module.

If the reading is greater than 10 ohms, the problem is outside the 387 sys-
tem. Check the wires that connect the sensor to the Interface Module for
cuts, shorts, loose connections, broken connector pins, etc. and repair as
necessary.
