ABS warning lamp
Possible causes/consequences and
The yellow ABS warning lamp is lit while the engine is running.
*ABS is malfunctioning.
If there is an additional warning tone, EBD is malfunctioning.
Other driving systems and driving safety systems may also be malfunctioning.
& WARNING There is a risk of skidding if EBD or ABS is malfunctioning
If EBD or ABS is malfunctioning, the wheels may lock when braking.
The steering capability and braking characteristics are thus severely impaired. Braking distance may increase in
an emergency braking situation. In addition, other driving safety systems are switched off.
Drive on carefully.
