Replace the emergency spare wheel after six
years at the latest, regardless of wear.
% Vehicles with a tyre pressure loss warn‐
ing system: if an emergency spare wheel is
fitted the tyre pressure loss warning system
cannot function reliably. Only restart the sys‐
tem again when the emergency spare wheel
has been replaced with a new wheel.
Vehicles with a tyre pressure monitoring
system: if an emergency spare wheel is fit‐
ted the tyre pressure monitoring system can‐
not function reliably. For a few minutes after
an emergency spare wheel is fitted, the sys‐
tem may still display the tyre pressure of the
removed wheel. Only restart the system
again when the emergency spare wheel has
been replaced with a new wheel.

Removing the emergency spare wheel
The deflated emergency spare wheel is secured
in the emergency spare wheel bag in the load
compartment and is secured to the adjustable
load compartment floor in the lower position.

Detach the securing straps.

Unhook the retaining spring hooks of the

Remove the emergency spare wheel bag with

Inflating the emergency spare wheel

tion compressor running too long

sor for longer than ten minutes without
interruption.
