Process 2: Installing RMX Hardware
Install the following RMX Hardware:
• RMX 2000: Install the Power Supply, Control (CNTL 2000) Unit and LAN card(s). For more
information see Installing RMX 2000 Components.
• RMX 4000. Install the Control (CNTL 4000) Unit. For more information see Installing the CNTL
Unit on the RMX 4000.
Installing RMX 2000 Components
Install on the RMX 2000 the following components:
— a: Power Supply drawer
— b: CNTL 2000 unit
c:
— Two RTM Lan card(s)
On each component, the pins must be aligned and ejector lever or levers must be pushed back into
their housing and lock(ed) as described in the "Appendix B - Using the Ejector Lever(s)" on page 11.
Ensure also that each captive screw is fastened properly.
— d: Connect all the required cables (see "d: Connecting Cables" on page 6).
a: Install the Power Supply Drawer

Slide in the Power Supply Module.
2 Using the handle, push the Power Supply Module firmly into the Backplane, making sure it is
properly seated in its slot.
3 Tighten the captive screws on the front panel of the RMX that secure the Power Supply Module.
