d: (Optional) Removing the Existing RTM LAN Card from the MCU

Unscrew the captive screws on the rear panel of the RMX 2000 that secure the RTM LAN card.

Use the ejector levers (see "Appendix B - Using the Ejector Lever(s)" on page 11) to pull the RTM
LAN card out of its slot in the Backplane.

Carefully slide the RTM LAN card out through the rear panel.
Removing RMX 4000 Components

Power down the RMX 4000.

Remove the following components:
On each component, captive screws must be loosened and ejector lever or levers must be opened.
Care must be taken when opening or closing the All Metal Ejector Lever or Modified PMC
Compatible Ejector Lever as described in "Appendix B - Using the Ejector Lever(s)" below. Ensure
that power to the RMX is turned OFF (O) before performing the procedures described below.
— a: Remove the CNTL unit from the front of the RMX.
— b: Remove any media card(s) from the front of the RMX.
a: Removing the Existing Control (CNTL) Module from the MCU

Unscrew the captive screw on the front panel of the RMX 2000 that secure the Control (CNTL)
Unit.

Use the handle to pull the Control (CNTL) Unit. out of its slot in the Backplane.

Carefully slide the Control (CNTL) Unit. out through the front panel.
b: Removing the Existing MPM+/MPMx Card(s) from the RMX 4000

Unscrew the captive screws and remove the Media card(s)

Use the ejector levers (see "Appendix B - Using the Ejector Lever(s)" on page 11) to pull the MPM+/
MPMx card out of its slot in the Backplane.

Carefully slide the MPM+/MPMx card out through the front panel.
