a: Removing the Existing Control (CNTL) Module from the MCU

Unscrew the captive screw on the front panel of the RMX 2000 that secure the Control (CNTL)
Unit.

Use the handle to pull the Control (CNTL) Unit. out of its slot in the Backplane.

Carefully slide the Control (CNTL) Unit. out through the front panel.
b: Removing the Existing Power Supply Drawer from the MCU

Unscrew the captive screws on the front panel of the RMX 2000 that secure the Power Supply.

Use the handle to pull the Power Supply Module out of its slot in the Backplane.

Carefully slide the Power Supply Module out through the front panel.
c: Removing the Existing MPM/MPM+/MPMx Card(s) from the MCU

Unscrew the captive screws and remove the Media card(s)

Use the ejector levers (see "Appendix B - Using the Ejector Lever(s)" on page 11) to pull the RTM IP
card out of its slot in the Backplane.

Carefully slide the MPM/MPM+/MPMx card out through the front panel.
Remove all MPM/MPM+/MPMx cards from the MCU. Starting with version 8.3 different types of
Media cards cannot be installed simultaneously on a single MCU.
