The ICS nomogram divides patients into three classes based on the BOOI:
unobstructed (BOOI ≤ 20), equivocal (BOOI = 20–40), and obstructed (BOOI ≥
40).
The BCI shows the Bladder Contractility Index: Pdet@Qmax + 5Qmax,
The BCI nomogram divides patients into three classes: strong (BCI > 150),
normal (BCI = 100–150) and weak (BCI < 100) contractility.
Qmax
Qmax is the maximum measured value of the flow during micturition.
When a Peak flow marker is present, the peak flow will be the flow at the Peak
flow marker. When Flow markers are present and no Peak flow markers are
present, then the peak flow will be the flow at the second Flow marker.
Calculated: Qmax = [F]
Time to Qmax
The time to Qmax is the elapsed time from the onset of the flow to the Qmax.
Calculated: Time to Qmax = [C]
Pdet at Qmax
The detrusor pressure at the Qmax.
Voided volume
The voided volume is the total volume expelled via the urethra.
Calculated: Voided volume = [E1 + E2 + E3 + E4]
Flow time
The flow time is the time over which measurable flow occurs.
Calculated: Flow time = [B1 + B2 + B3 + B4]
Voiding time
The voiding time is the total duration of micturition, including the miction
interruptions. When voiding is completed without interruptions, voiding time is
equal to flow time.
Calculated: Voiding time = [D]
Average flow
The average flow is the total voided volume divided by the flow time. The
average flow rate is meaningful only if flow is continuous and without terminal
dribbling. It is calculated as voided volume divided by the flow time.
