❑ Prepare and insert the catheters. Follow the procedure depending on
the type of catheter being used:
o Solid-state catheters (see § 3.3)
o Air-charged catheters (see § 3.4)
o Water catheters (see § 3.5)
❑ Connect the pump tube to the filling lumen of the catheter.
❑ Prepare the EMG cables and apply the EMG electrodes as described
in § 2.5.7.
Press the Start investigation button.
Press the Pump ON button to start the pump.
Press the First sensation button to mark the first sensation. Use this
button for all sensation markers.
When the patient is unable to tolerate further filling or if the bladder is
filled sufficiently, press the Pump button to stop.
Press the End filling phase button. Recording is temporarily halted,
and the end filling phase is marked. Reposition the patient if necessary.
Press the Permission to void button to mark the miction command.
Leave the patient alone.
Press the Start voiding phase button.
If the patient would like, you can activate the Tap water sound during
miction. Click the button again to deactivate.
Press the Stop investigation button. Enter the residual urine if
prompted.
