The probe has a colour indicator to show when the set limits have been exceeded.
• Green: measurement within the limits
• Red: below minimum coating thickness limits
• Yellow: over maximum coating thickness limit
• Blue: measurement outside the measuring range; also see chapter „Troubleshooting"
4.8.1. Edit Limits
Press the button to open the limit menu and to edit limit sets. Some limits are protected with a pad-
lock icon and cannot be changed. Limit sets which can be edited can be enabled or disabled with OK
and then edited. Depending on the limit set selected you can select and deselect different limits
as well as set parameters.
According to device type a variety of limit settings of different complexity are available. They can either
be set per area generally for all devices or individually for QNix® 9500P and QNix® 9500P+, as long as no
measuring values are available yet. To set the limits per area, please follow these steps:
• Activate the area in the job menu.
• Change to the limits menu by using
• Do the limit settings.
• Deactivate the area in the job menu.
• If necessary please change the limit settings of other areas one after the other in the same
way.
