Description
EDFA board temperature alarm. If the
temperature is greater than the high
threshold, or the temperature is less than
the low threshold, an alarm is triggered.
Optical ILA internal alarm. When the
communication between the X86
(processor) and the EDFA has a problem,
an alarm is triggered.
Fan 0 is missing.
Fan 1 is missing.
Fan 2 is missing.
Speed of fan in fan slot 0 is below 768
rotations per minute.
Speed of fan in fan slot 1 is below 768
rotations per minute.
Speed of fan in fan slot 2 is below 768
rotations per minute.
Module firmware version mismatch.
Power supply in slot 1 has failed, or is
missing.
Power supply in slot 0 has failed, or is
missing.
This alarm is triggered when the
manufacture/calibration data are
missing.
EDFA A-B case temperature alarm. When
the EDFA case temperature is above
80° C, an alarm is triggered.
A-B is the A to B direction (for example,
east to west).
Chapter 12: Operational Commands
Corrective Action
Recover the temperature to normal
range. If the temperature falls 1° C below
the high threshold or exceeds the low
threshold by 1° C, the alarm is cleared.
NOTE:
Hysteresis is 1° C
Hard reset the optical ILA.
If the hard reset fails to clear the alarm,
return the device by using a Return
Materials Authorization (RMA).
Insert fan in fan slot 0.
Insert fan in fan slot 1.
Insert fan in fan slot 2.
Clean the fan, or replace it.
Clean the fan, or replace it.
Clean the fan, or replace it.
Upgrade submodules such as
field-programmable gate array (FPGA).
Replace the power supply in slot 1.
Replace the power supply in slot 0.
Return the device by using an RMA.
When the EDFA case temperature is
below 80° C, the alarm is cleared.
