4. OPERATION AND FUNCTIONS

4.2 Magnetic pole detection

Make sure to perform the magnetic pole detection before starting the positioning operation in order to match the
positional relationship between the direct drive motor and the encoder.
Before starting up the equipment, always perform the test operation (positioning operation) of MR Configurator.

4.2.1 Preparation for the magnetic pole detection

For the magnetic pole detection, the test operation mode (positioning operation) of MR Configurator is used.
Turn the power of servo amplifier off and set the test operation select switch (SW2-1) as shown below. By
turning the power on, it switches to the test operation mode.
POINT
Magnetic pole detection is not required for the configured absolute position
detection system where the Z-phase pulse can be turned on manually.
For this operation, always connect the direct drive motor encoder and the servo
amplifier and turn on the control circuit power supply of the servo amplifier. Perform
this operation by considering the safety.
POINT
When the test operation mode is set with the test operation select switch (SW2-1),
the SSCNET
communication of the servo amplifiers following the servo amplifier
with the test operation mode is disconnected.
