3.2 Starting the Machine - General
• Turn the main switch [1] on the electrical cabinet to
the ON (I) position.
The machine will now automatically carry out an
internal memory check. All control keys are
rendered inoperative for the duration of the check
(around 2 minutes).
• Press the CE key [2].
In case the EMERGENCY STOP loop is not
interrupted key [3] will be lit.
In the dialog field the following will appear:
PASS OVER REFERENCE POINTS
    
NOTE
In case an EMERGENCY STOP key [3] is depressed
or the EMERGENCY STOP loop is interrupted, the
following message will appear:
RELAY EXT. DC VOLTAGE MISSING
Key [3] will not illuminate
• Release EMERGENCY STOP and/or check the
cause.
• after closing the cabin the control unit is activated
and the reference points can be approached via
the NC-start key.

The screen will show the message:
Z-AXIS
Y-AXIS
X-AXIS
Should a 4th or 5th axis be available this axis will be
displayed, according to DIN 66 217, as „A-, B- or C-
axis.
• By pushing the green "NC-Start" button [4],
movement is made towards the Z-AXIS reference
point.
• Operate the "NC-Start" button as often as
necessary until all the displayed axes have been
approached.
The screen will show the message:
MANUAL OPERATION
The actual position will be shown under the dialog
field.
