2.9 Initial Start Up

Note
Before operating the machine for the first time,
ensure that the spindle slide´s transport safeguard
is removed.
• Turn the main switch [1] on the electrical cabinet
to position "I".
The dialogue window will show the message:
POWER INTERRUPTED
The machine will now automatically conduct an
internal memory check. During the duration of the
check, approx. 2 min., all keys of the control unit
are rendered inoperative.
• Press key CE [2].
In case the EMERGANCY STOP chain is not
interrupted key [3] will light up
The dialog window will show the message:
TRAVERSE REFERENCE POINTS

Note
In case an emergency switch is pushed or the
emergency chain is interrupted, the following
message will appear:
RELAY EXT. DC VOLTAGE MISSING
key [3] will not be lit.
• Release emergency stop or check the cause
• Switch the key switch [11] for operating mode to
position III
• Push acceptance key [10]
The control is now active
• Press the key for switching to operation modes
[4].
The control unit switches to programming mode
and the dialogue window will show:
