4.6 Oxygen supply

For safety reasons (risk of fire) the direct intro-
duction of oxygen into the hose system or the
mask without any special protective device is
not permitted. However, the supply of up to 4
l/min. oxygen to the hose system is possible
when using the oxygen connection valve WM
24042. An oxygen concentrator (e.g. Oxy-
mat), liquid oxygen or an oxygen cylinder
with a suitable pressure reducer may be used.
This application must be prescribed by the
doctor in charge.
You must also follow the safety instructions for
handling oxygen without fail as well as the
operating instructions for the oxygen valve
and the oxygen unit used.
