Motion Reference Unit
A motion reference unit (MRU) measures the vessel's pitch and roll movements
in the sea. Depending on make and type, some sensors will also measure heave.
The information provided by the motion sensor is used by the SN90 to stabilize
the beams and the echo presentation.
Installation Parameters
The

physical locations of the various sensors and the SN90 transducer. All relevant
system units and sensors must be defined with their physical offset values in
relation to the defined Ship Origin in the vessel's coordinate system. You will only
need to define these installation parameters once.
Synchronization
The purpose of the
alone, or as a master or slave in a synchronized system. Synchronization is
required in order to avoid interference if the SN90 is used simultaneously with
other hydroacoustic instruments within the same frequency range.
Units
The SN90 user interface presents many measurements. These measurements are
for example related to depth, range and distance. From the
which units of measurements that are used.
Operating Panel
The Operating Panel must be connected to the Processor Unit through a serial port.

Hull Unit Configuration
A hull unit may be provided as an optional method to lower and hoist the
transducer. If a hull unit is used, you must use the options on the
page to specify this. You can enable or disable the use of a hull unit.
Configuration
Once enabled you can choose which hull unit to use.
