TROUBLESHOOTING

ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTING

If something is wrong with the engine, refer to the table below for the cause and its corrective measure.
Trouble
Engine is difficult to start or
won't start.
Insufficient engine power.
Engine stops suddenly.
Black
Exhaust fumes are
colored.
Blue

Engine overheats
If you have any questions, contact your local KUBOTA Dealer.
Cause
A No fuel flow.
A Air or water is in the fuel system.
A In winter, oil viscosity increases,
and engine revolution is slow.
A Battery becomes weak and the
engine does not turn over quick
enough.
A Water enter into the engine from
air cleaner.
A Insufficient or dirty fuel.
A The air cleaner is clogged.
A Water enter into the engine from
air cleaner.
A Insufficient fuel.
A Water enter into the engine from
air cleaner.
A Fuel quality is poor.
A Too much oil.
A The air cleaner is clogged.
A The inside of exhaust muffler is
dumped with fuel.
A Injection nozzle trouble.

A Low coolant level.
A The motor driven fan does not turn. A Check to see if the fuse is not blown.
A Dirty radiator core or grille screens. A Remove all trash.
A Coolant flow route corroded.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Countermeasure
A Check the fuel tank and the fuel filter.
Replace filter if necessary.
A Check to see if the fuel line coupler bolt and
nut are tight.
A Bleed the fuel system.

section.)
A Use oils of different viscosities, depending on
ambient temperatures.
A Clean battery cables and terminals.
A Charge the battery.
A In cold weather, always remove the battery
from the engine, charge and store it indoors.
Install it on the vehicle only when the vehicle
is going to be used.
A Consult your local KUBOTA Dealer.
A Check the fuel system.
A Clean or replace the element.
