TROUBLESHOOTING

ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTING

If something is wrong with the engine, refer to the table below for the cause and its corrective measure.
Trouble
Engine is difficult to start or
will not start.
Insufficient engine power.
Engine stops suddenly.
Cause
A The range shift lever not in the proper
position.
A Key switch is not in the proper position. A Make sure key switch is in "ON"
A No fuel.
A Improper or stale fuel.
(Fuel quality is poor.)
A Water or dirt in the fuel system.
A Fuel hose or fuel filter clogged or
damaged.
A Air cleaner is clogged.
A Spark plug defective.
A Fuse is blown.
A Engine oil viscosity is wrong.
A Battery becomes weak and the engine
does not turn over quick enough.

A Make sure the range shift lever is in
