The status of each device is shown in various ways, depending on the
device type. For example, if a KBU 64 is online it is marked with a
cross. For a KMUX, a cross means the link is down. It is possible to
clear the status of a device or its channels by selecting the
device/channel in the Network Inspector window and then choosing the
Network | Reset device status command.

8.3.1 Meaning of the Network Inspector Fields

8.3.2 Independent Channel Naming

This feature (not available on all Device Types) allows different channels
on the same device to be identified separately. For instance, if you have
a device with two channels which are used for different purposes, you
may want to reflect that in the channel names.
Each named channel has its own entry in the Network Inspector window,
in addition to the entry for the device. Note that these entries will not
necessarily appear together in the window - depending on the sort order
defined, channels and devices with the same Poll number may be
spread throughout the display. To show independent channels next to
80-60100000-02
field shows a flashing pink symbol, otherwise the
symbol is static grey.
This field displays device dependent status
information. See the 'Network Inspector window'
topic in the on-line help for details.
Shows the poll and channel number of the device,
which must be unique.
Shows the device's product name.
This shows the device's name (must be unique).
Shows if the device is local, in the Talkwire List,
remote, or SNMP, and whether a connection is in
progress.
This is the number used to dial a remote device.
