Dialling External Numbers
(ENBLOC)
The ISDN Access Unit provides you with a
new (optional) method of dialling an external
number. It is called ENBLOC dialling and
allows you to dial the number and then
review it before sending it to the network.
This gives you

If you previously dialled a number in
ENBLOC mode the number will be displayed.
If not a series of dashes will be shown.
• Dial the number you want to call.
• If you enter the number incorrectly use the
T key to delete digits and then enter the
correct number.
• When you are happy with the number press
Handsfree. A free line is seized and the digits
are dialled out.
• If you do not wish to continue with making
the call press EXIT before pressing
Handsfree.

There are two different types of CUD
service:
Calling Line Identity
Presentation (CLIP)
Calling Line Identity Presentation (CLIP)
means that when you receive an incoming call
on one of your ISDN2 lines·the caller's
number will appear on the displays of all
Systemphones programmed to ring for
incoming calls. This means that you know
who is calling before you answer the call. If
the service is available on your lines it is
activated automatically.
Calling Line Identity Restriction
(CLIR)

Calling Line Identity Restriction (CUR)

allows you to prevent your number being
displayed to the person you are calling when
you make a call on your ISDN2 lines.
CLIR
Setting
for an individual call
You may set CLIR for one single call in two
ways:
Method One:
•Dial 58
The System phone display shows Tone Protect.
(You may also use this feature to prevent call
waiting tones being received while you are on
the call).
• Dial 9 for an outside line or press a line key
• Dial the external number as normal
Method 1\No:
•Dial 68
• Enter the digits to be dialled in ENBLOC
mode as explained in the Dialling External
Numbers (ENBLOC) section.
