You can change the standard messages (listed
on the previous page).
To change a default message
• From the programming position, dial 70
followed by the system PIN. The
Systemphone shows Di al admi
• Dial the admin code
• Enter the number of the message you wish to
change. The Systemphone shows the default
message.

Using your Systemphone with a
Headset
In earlier software releases you may plug a
headset into the handset socket. However it
is necessary, even though you may speak
over the headset, to lift and replace the
handset to start or end a call. In later software
versions you may program a key as a headset
key to simplify headset working.
To programme a key as a Headset key
The code is # *
•Press#
Press the key to be programmed
•
• Enter the code #
• Press Handsfree
Using your phone in Headset mode
• Press the Headset key
• Take the handset off hook and leave it off
hook as long as you are using the phone in
headset mode
• Remove the handset from the handset socket
on the side of the Systemphone and replace it
with the headset
When you press the programmed key the
Systemphone goes into headset operation
mode. This is indicated on the phone by the
light coming on beside the key you have
programmed as a Headset key. In addition, an
Q symbol appears between the date and the
time on the phone display while the phone is
in idle mode.

To make an internal or external call
• Dial your calls in the normal way
To clear down (end) a call
• Press the Handsfree key
To answer an incoming external call
• Press the line key or the Handsfree key
To answer an incoming internal call
• Press the Handsfree key
To return your phone to normal Handset
operation
• Press the Headset key again
• Remove the headset from the socket and
replace the handset
• Replace the handset on hook
Note: If a Systemphone is reset the phone reverts
to normal operation.
