Test Drive Tilt Cutout
46 Press down the foot switch.
47 With the boom fully stowed, drive the machine
onto a slope where the machine pitch angle is
greater than 4.5° (front to back).
Result: The machine should continue to drive.
48 Return the machine to level ground and
extend the boom approximately
18 inches/46 cm.
49 Drive the machine onto a slope where the
pitch angle is greater than 4.5° (front to back).
Result: The machine should stop once the
machine reaches 4.5° of chassis tilt and the
alarm should sound at the platform controls.
50 Retract the boom to the stowed position.
Result: The machine should drive.
51 Return to level ground and raise the boom to
approximately 4.5° above horizontal.
52 Drive the machine onto a slope where the
pitch angle is greater than 4.5° (front to back).
Result: The machine should stop once the
machine reaches 4.5° of chassis tilt and the
alarm should sound at the platform controls.
53 While on the slope, attempt to raise and
extend the boom.
Result: The boom raise and extend functions
should not operate.
54 Lower the boom to the stowed position.
Result: The machine should drive.
55 Return to level ground and stow the boom.

onto a slope where the roll angle is greater
than 4.5° (side to side).
Result: The machine should continue to drive.
58 Return the machine to level ground and
extend the boom approximately
18 inches/46 cm.
59 Drive the machine onto a slope where the roll
angle is greater than 4.5° (side to side).
Result: The machine should stop once the
machine reaches 4.5° of chassis tilt and the
alarm should sound at the platform controls.
60 Retract the boom to the stowed position.
Result: The machine should drive.
61 Return to level ground and raise the boom to
approximately 4.5° above horizontal.
62 Drive the machine onto a slope where the roll
angle is greater than 4.5° (side to side).
Result: The machine should stop once the
machine reaches 4.5° of chassis tilt and the
alarm should sound at the platform controls.
63 While on the slope, attempt to raise and
extend the boom.
Result: The boom raise and extend functions
should not operate.
64 Lower the boom to the stowed position.
Result: The machine should drive.
65 Return to level ground and stow the boom.
