These operator's manual are an essential part of the device.
They contain important information to help you avoid hazards
and to increase the reliability and the life span of the device.
Read the operator's manual before using the de-
vice. Share this operator's manual and the opera-
tor's manual of the engine manufacturer with other
users of the device.
In this operator's manual, for AS 940 Sherpa 4WD RC the
term "device" is being used.

Intended use

The device is intended for cutting and mulching grass, under-
growth or weeds in agriculture, forestry, and landscape con-
servation. Woody growth must not be older than maximally
one year.
The device can be used in the manual ride-on operation (MC)
as well as the remote control operation (RC).
The device is intended for use by professional and instructed
users. These users must have sufficient knowledge and ex-
perience to use the device and detect and avoid possible
dangers of their own.
Always follow OSHA approved operation.
Only use attachments and cutting tools authorized by "AS-
Motor Germany."
Any other use exceeding this purpose is inadmissible.
Observe the instructions chapter for Maintenance. Otherwise,
operational safety is endangered.
The user of the device is responsible for accidents or dam-
age that can happen to other persons or their property!
In particular, the device mustnotbe used:
– as a toy.
– to transport people.
– to cut hard objects, stones, rubble, or pieces of wood.
– to trim bushes, hedges, and shrubbery.
– to cut plants in flower boxes or pots or on rooftops.
– as shredder for shredding tree and hedge cuttings.
– as drive unit for work tools and any type of tool sets not au-
thorized by "AS-Motor Germany."
The device is not approved for operation on public roads.
The device must not be used in California.
The regulations "US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)"
for emission systems, maintenance, and warranty require-
ments are fulfilled. Observe the information in the operator's
manual of the engine manufacturer.
