9.4 Dismantling the impeller

Dismantle the drive wheel cover, saw chain and bar.
Separate the crankcase.
Refer to "Basic dismantle/assembly".
NOTE! The impeller can be dismantled with the
motor assembled or dismantled.

Take the impeller off the motor.
See figure 1.
Cleaning and inspection
Clean and check the impeller. The impeller must
always be replaced with a new one if cracked or
showing signs of other defects. Always use original
spare parts.
See figure 2.

9.5 Assembling the impeller

Press the impeller onto the motor.
Make sure the motor shaft (A) protrudes 1.85 mm.
See figure 1.

Assemble the chain saw.
Refer to "Basic dismantle/assembly".
